Patricia D. Edwards, D.V.M. is the owner, manager, and primary Veterinarian at the River Cliff Animal Hospital. She graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1969. At that time, women were not readily accepted in the veterinary profession. When she opened the River Cliff Animal Hospital in September 1973, she was the only woman in the metropolitan Atlanta area to actually own a veterinary practice.
Dr. Edwards is a skilled and dedicated diagnostician and surgeon. She continues to practice her chosen profession today with as much interest in her patients and enthusiasm for her work as she did in the beginning of her career. Caring for dogs and cats is her life.
Dr. Edwards has been an avid purebred dog fancier since childhood. She has been successfully involved with breeding and exhibiting many champion Doberman Pinschers, Bull Terriers, Briards, and Whippets since 1961. She shares her home with her son and a menagerie of pet dogs, cats, birds, and fish.
